WHAT TO EXPECT

 

Initial appointment

 

In order to increase efficiency and convenience, appointments can be booked online or by calling the office.  When booking, it is asked that you include as much information on the reason for your visit in order to allow Christine to prepare for your visit.  All that is required on the day of your appointment is that you bring in a complete list of all supplements and medications you are currently taking, making sure to include the specific names and dosages.  If it is easier, feel free to bring the bottles to your appointment and Christine will gladly note the information.  In addition, if you have recent or relevant lab tests (blood tests, ultrasounds, MRIs, etc.) please bring a copy to your visit.  If you do not have a copy at hand, a copy can be requisitioned at the time of your first appointment.

 

Your first appointment will last roughly 1.5 hours, and will involve a thorough health assessment.  We will discuss your current health concerns, medical history, and lifestyle.  You are not only welcome to, but asked to discuss all current and past health concerns in order to help Christine gain a complete overview of your health.  This will be followed by a general screening physical exam, performed at the first or second visit depending on your needs.  At this time, lab tests may be requested in order to further assess your health status.

 

Although initial recommendations may be made on the first visit, the main treatment plan will be discussed on the second visit.  This will allow Christine to fully analyze the information gathered during the first appointment and formulate a comprehensive and personalized treatment plan.  This treatment plan will be presented to you in detail during your second visit, at which point your input will also be valuable.

 

Subsequent visits may be required depending on the complexity of your case and the treatment plan developed.  A third visit is highly recommended in order to follow-up on your progress and to address any new concerns or challenges.  Acupuncture treatments require a minimum of one treatment per week, at roughly 8-10 sessions in total in order to fully benefit from its effects.  Follow-up visits are typically 30-60 minutes in length.

 

Naturopathic treatments require active participation on your part.  Finding your path back to health using natural treatments can take time, with certain symptoms requiring more time and effort than others.  Be patient, knowing that small changes can have a large impact.  As a naturopathic doctor Christine is devoted to providing guidance and support as you embark on this journey.

 

Acute Appointment

 

Woke up with a cold?  Have a splitting headache you can’t shake off?  Worried about a sudden change in your health? Christine would be happy to see you through the use of an acute appointment.  Christine will take a short intake and may perform a complaint-specific physical examination.  A diagnosis will be provided, although diagnostic testing may also be needed, as well as treatment.

 

This appointment typically takes 30 minutes depending on the complexity of the case, and may be booked on a daily basis.  Please contact the office by phone if no appointments appear to be available online and we will do our best to ensure you get the care you need.
